Gyotaku Fish Printing with the Keiki of Hilo
Gyotaku is a beautiful, fun and unique way to enjoy your catch before later cooking it to feed your ohana. Our goal for this event was to teach our Keiki how to work with different art mediums and paint using special Japanese Sumi Ink + traditional rice paper, in a relaxed and friendly environment.

A few months ago, we met Summer Martin, a local Hilo girl who works at Mo's Fish and Chips while growing her own business on the side. She uses her unique images to make Hawaii-inspired pouches that reflect what inspires her. We caught up with her and asked her a few questions after she helped us create some custom Marlin pouches for our own private collection.
